Advanced Dental Cleaning And Exams

A dental cleaning and exam is our best defense against dental cavities. At our office, our hygienists thoroughly clean the teeth and provide great at-home care guidance. During a cleaning, we’ll remove harmful substances like plaque and bacteria that can lead to tooth decay. Once the teeth are clean, we’ll polish the teeth to make it harder for bacteria to stick to the surface of the tooth. A simple clean allows us to remove plaque buildup and even dental stains.

To check the teeth for signs of tooth decay, one of our dentists will examine your mouth. We’re also using a special tool called DIAGNOdent, which uses a special laser to identify even the smallest signs of tooth decay. This helps us address the issues before they take over the mouth. Additionally, we ask that our adult patients get screenings for oral cancer. We’re using a tool called VELscope, a small device that identifies abnormalities in the mouth. It’s important to make cancer screenings a part of your dental exams because oral cancer is highly treatable and curable if caught early.

All The Care in One Location

We have a number of solutions to make sure your mouth is healthy and looks great. That’s why we have seven dentists who can handle issues like endodontics, orthodontics, and periodontics. This is extremely beneficial because you don’t have to travel all around town to get the care you need.

One of our big perks is having a periodontist, Dr. Badlissi. It’s vital for dental offices to offer periodontics because most people will struggle with gum disease, and gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss in adults. It’s estimated that about 50 percent of adults 30 or older will struggle with gum disease, and people 65 and older are at an even higher risk of gum disease. The early stages of gum disease are curable, but advanced gum disease has no known cure. You’ll need care for the rest of your life. Dr. Badlissi is trained to offer advanced periodontic services to fight off infection and help you maintain healthier gums and teeth.

In additional to Dr. Badlissi, we can provide orthodontics like Invisalign to traditional braces. Orthodontics helps you achieve a better smile, and it also leads to a healthier mouth.
